Create and Managed Upload Request Folders

Create and Managed Upload Request Folders

Info
With upload requests, you can generate a link allowing anyone to upload files to any Upload Folder you create.
Uploaders can upload anonymously, without having a guest or system account and without seeing the contents of those shares.
You can create Upload folders on your Personal Files or Company Shared files. (Team Shared Files)
For instructions on how to create a folder view this article.
Notes
In this example we will create an Upload Request Folder for a client named ACME Stores inside Team Shares.

1. Open a browser and go to:
      https://rtms.syncedtool.com
      Login using your SyncedTool credentials.
2. Click on Team Shares on the left hand side menu.
3. Click Create > Folder

Name the folder. Ex: ACME Stores
Right mouse click on the folder you just created and choose Request Upload
A window pops up where you can add additional details for your upload request.
  1. Title: The uploader will see what kind of request it is. [required]
  2. Description: If you would like to add additional information in regards to the request.
  3. Expiration Date: You can add an expiration date so the invitation will expire and it is not left open.

Notes
At this point your Upload Request has been created and is ready for uploads.
You have the option of copying the URL and emailing it via your own email address
or Click on Share With and enter the user's email address & message to email directly through this system.

Paste the URL on your email to the client and email it directly.

If you would like to email directly from the system then press "Share With".
Info
**Note: If emailing from the system the user will be sent an email from an email address not recognized by them and might not reply.
After typing the users email address the user will be added to the bottom of the window.
You can add more than one recipient at this time.

Optional: You can receive a daily digest on what folders were added, updated etc.
To do this go to Team Shares on the left hand side column and under the folder name
click Settings.
