Setting up an Office365 Email Account in Outlook

Setting up your new email account in Outlook

In order to setup your email account in Outlook you need your email account and your password.

  1. Verify your account password by login in to: http://office.com/
  2. If you already have an account in Outlook and need to setup a new Outlook profile;

    Press the Start Button on the task bar Win10

    Immediately begin typing: Control Panel until the Control Panel appears as shown below.
    ( The search bar automatically appears when you begin to type )
    When the window appears as shown below click on Control Panel / Open



  3. Once the Control Panel opens do a search for mail in the search box and press the search button as shown below:



  4. When it appears Click On Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016)


  5. In the Mail Setup - Outlook window  click on the Show Profiles button as shown below:


  6.  On the Mail Window click on the Add.. button:



  7. In the New Profile Window Type the Name of the new account and press the OK button.
    The name can be anything that represents the new email account you are setting up. ( Your name, domain, full email, etc. )



  8. On the Add Account window shown below, type the following:
  1. Your Name
  2. The Email address you are adding ( all lower case)
  3. The Password for the email address and confirm the password below it.
  4. Press Next



  5. Microsoft Sign in window appears, enter the email address again:



  6.  Re-enter the password for the email as shown below and click Sign in button



  7.  The confirm window appears, make sure:
    "Allow my organization to manage my device is checked
    Press YES


  8. Wait for the You're all set! window and press the Done button.



  9. Congratulations Screen appears.
    If you are setting up Outlook on your Mobile phone check the Setup Outlook on phone option.
    Press the Finish button.



  10. The account has been setup. Now you need to make sure Outlook opens the new profile everytime you Open it.
    In the Mail window as shown below
  1. Pick "Always use this profile"
  2. In the Drop-down pick your new email. ( Whatever you named it at the beginning in step 7 )
  3. Press the OK Button

You can now close all windows (Mail & Control Panel) and Open Outlook.
Outlook should open and show you your email from your new email account.
