Printer Connection Troubleshooting
If your printer is not connecting to the network please try the following steps.
- Power it down by pressing the power button until is shuts off.
- Disconnect the power cable and press the power button once more to deplete any power left
- Disconnect and re-connect the Cat5 cable that goes from the printer to the port on the wall.
This is the cable that connects the printer to the network. It could be lose on either end.
- Re-connect the power cable to the printer
- Power up the printer by pressing the power button once more.
If it still does not connect then please replace the Cat5 cable with another one to test.
These cables do go bad for some reason and until it's replaced it won't connect.
